Current Prompt Post

It's not an ideal solution, but given the busy time of year, it will do for now. We're discussing what to do next, but we wanted to make sure there was somewhere everyone could go in the meantime.


Edit: For now we've upgraded to a Plus account and switched to a simple S2 style to get the comment subject lines back. The DW meme will stay open in case anyone wants to use that instead, or if LJ gets attacked again and you need your Cap fix.

Welcome to the Avengers Prompt Post! The rules are basically the same as in the other prompts posts, with a few small changes. Please review them before posting!

General Rules

• Please be civil and respectful towards each other.


• One prompt per comment. Feel free to post more than one comment.

Cap Part 1 | Cap Part 2

We know everyone's excited for next year's Avengers movie, and we can see that reflected in the prompts being posted. We're proposing a change to the community to open it up to Avengers prompts as well as Captain America: The First Avenger prompts.

Of course, we won't just make that decision on our own. If the community wants to keep the meme Cap-specific, then it will stay that way. Poll results are viewable only to me, though I will be sharing them with my co-mod. If you don't have an LJ account, you may leave an anonymous comment here to register your vote. If you're voting anonymously, you have to do so on the this page. The content of the anon comments on the discussion thread will be taken into consideration, but those comments do not count as votes.

There seems to be a little misunderstanding, so I'm going to attempt to clarify things here. If the vote is NO, then everything will remain as is. You'll still be able to prompt and fill all the Steve/Tony, Steve/Thor, Bucky/Loki, etc. to your heart's content.

If the vote is YES, we will open a separate post (having read the concerns on the discussion thread) for Avengers-specific prompts.

What that would mean for you:

Anything involving Steve and/or any of the other CA:TFA characters would stay on this main post. That includes Steve/Tony. Anything involving non-CA:TFA Avengers would go on the other post. For example: Tony/Banner, Thor/Clint, Loki/Natasha/Coulson, etc. would be on the separate post.

Note 2: There's been a question of what to do with AO3 tags for community fills posted there, so a discussion has been started so the community can decide what to do.

Part 1 | Avengers Prompts

If you've tried to access our delicious archives (all and fills), you've probably noticed that they're not up to date. My co-mod and I have been trying to get them updated, but computer issues and time have not been kind to us.

We're looking for a team of volunteers who wouldn't mind slogging through the 30+ pages of prompts and the fills post and adding them to the archives with the correct tags. It's a daunting task, which is why we need a few people on the job.

If you're interested, please leave a comment in this post and/or send me a PM. Anon comments are fine and will be screened, but you have to be willing to PM me your LJ name with some way of identifying you and getting into contact with you. If you don't have an LJ account, then we'll work something else out.

Once the team is established, we'll get a system set up and then hopefully soon all of the prompts and fills will be archived for easy access for all.

Often times on the meme, really interesting topics come up. They're not wanky or mean-spirited, but the prompt post is not the place for them. Until now, I've been directing them to the guidelines post, but from here on out, I'll direct them here. Discussions currently behind held on the other post may continue there, but new topics and conversations should start here. Questions may still be asked at the guidelines post.

It would be helpful to other readers to provide reference links in your posts, but it's not necessary.

This meme was created for the movie Captain America: The First Avenger. With the film opening officially tomorrow night and already being pre-screened tonight, the official spoiler policy is:
